Help build our new home

Work to redevelop the Community Centre site is due to start in the next twelve months. As part of that redevelopment, the Nursery needs new classrooms to replace its current, ageing buildings.

For the past twenty-eight years we have put money aside for such an occasion. Unfortunately we don't yet have enough money in order to complete this process.

We urgently need help to raise the last £150,000 to complete the relocation and to continue providing low-cost, accessible and friendly childcare for the next thirty years.

As a charity and non-profit making service, we have dedicated ourselves to providing low-cost, friendly and accessible childcare to hundreds of children since 1988. And we want to continue this.

To comply with Ofsted regulations and to cater for the same number of children as we currently serve, we need:

• Three new classrooms totalling 250sqm on a concrete base including facilities, a kitchen, office and storerooms.
• A possible fourth classroom if we are to continue to offer a holiday club service for school-aged children.
• Landscaped grounds within secure fencing with a suitable play surface and play equipment for preschool children.

Other ways you can help

• Pledge to supply a specific aspect of the new build, e.g. a new storage shed for outdoor toys; a new security system; a new fitted kitchen; new noticeboards for the classrooms.
• Sponsor a classroom. Known as the “Allied Dunbar room”, the current babies’ room was bought for us with a generous donation from Allied Dunbar.
• If you are a business, you could support us through the “give as you earn” scheme.
• Make us your charity of the year.
