Here&#8217;s an extract from a letter to parents:-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dear\nParents\/Guardians<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Re: SDN Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am\nwriting to you to let you know that the Trustees of the Nursery have decided to\nincrease the fees by 50p per day to \u00a342.00 per day from 1 September 2019, and\nto leave the fees for Club at \u00a330&nbsp;&nbsp; per\nday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In coming\nto this decision, the Trustees have taken into account<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>That this is a charity whose ethos is to offer quality childcare at the\nlowest possible costs whilst regarding our staff fairly;<\/li><li>We have put up the fees by more in recent years to ensure that we had\nsufficient funds to build our new nursery; <\/li><li>For the first time in recent years, we are making a fee increase in\nSeptember rather than January, in order to align with the school year. Most new\nfamilies join the Nursery in September, and this will help those families to\nbudget; and<\/li><li>In the future, although we cannot guarantee it, we intend to stick to an\nannual review, albeit in September whereas it used to be in January.&nbsp; <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Your fees\ncover the day-to-day running costs of the Nursery, plus a contribution towards\nreplacement of our buildings. Additional \u2018extras\u2019 such as new toys and\nreplacement of furniture that are not absolutely necessary but a \u2018nice-to-have\u2019\nneed to be covered by fundraising. I am disappointed to say that, ignoring\ngrants that are specific to the new build, our fundraising in the past year has\nbeen very low. The staff, management committee and Trustees have had to focus\non the considerable number of tasks needed to manage the new build. If you or\nsomeone you know would be able to help out with fundraising we would be very\ngrateful. We know that parents, families and friends can be very generous when\nwe organize events. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In\nclosing, I\u2019d like to remind you that the Nursery continues to offer real\nsupport to families in need; through our own local contacts, the Children\u2019s\nCentre and now through KCC\u2019s Free-For-Twos scheme.&nbsp; We couldn\u2019t do this without your continued\nsupport.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our fees will be going up to \u00a342 per day from 1st September.
