Easter Club 2019

Over the Easter holiday the children coming to Club, along with a few older members of the nursery, took part in a host of Easter themed crafts and activities to get into the celebratory spirit.

We started by making sure the room was looking festive and full of springtime colours. We made potato print Easter eggs, and bunny handprints to decorate the windows and new boards in the hallway. With a few extra egg baubles, the room was looking more in theme.

Over the next two weeks everyone took part in plenty of colouring, finger painting and kitchen roll bunny prints. We also spent time making rabbit tail pompoms with matching ear headbands, to decorate and wear. Other days, we did Easter baking, making chocolate nests or decorating biscuits. With the time in between, the children got to choose to play with a huge selection of toys and games, or to have a run or ride the bikes in playground as the Spring weather started to improve.

It also wouldn’t be Easter without an Easter Egg Hunt! But rather than chocolate, we looked for the alphabet and numbers, hidden around the playground and on the field. Each child was given their own personal note with their own eggs to find so that everyone had fun together!

Each child helped to decorate the room, make their own treats, and bring home some art that they made to remember their time at Club.
