Free Early Education Entitlement – 15 hours & 30 hours

If your child turns three between 1st September and 31st December you will be entitled to the 15 hours (Universal) entitlement from January 1.  This will give your child up to 570 free hours per year.  There’s no need to apply for this, you will get it automatically.  All you’ll need to do is complete and sign KCC’s Parental Declaration form when I hand them round in the New Year.

You may, however, be entitled to 30 hour funding, most working parents are.  If you haven’t already applied follow this link to the Government’s step-by-step guide.

If you are already receiving 30 hour funding then you’ll need to make sure you reconfirm eligibility for this online through your Childcare Service Account.

Please remember that, although the authorities like to call them 15 hour and 30 hour entitlements, the funding is officially for 570 hours per year and 1,140 hours.  Over the 51 weeks that our Nursery is open this works out to just over 11 hours a week and 22 hours a week.

There’s more information on the main website in the Parents section under ‘Funding’.
