It’s been a couple of months since my last post – no news is good news?
Well, there hasn’t been a great deal to talk about really.
Travis Perkins has been knocking seven bells out of the site next door. It has been noisy, but they put up a sound barrier for us and supplied a load of portable air conditioning units. These were a Godsend during the unusually high temperatures we experienced during the Summer.
Club has been well-attended; Olivia was leading, ably assisted by Alice and Brittany and Lydia, the two students who joined us last year. As far as I could see (and hear – my office is in the corner of the room) the children had a great time!
Club joined the rest of the children in fundraising – sponsored walks, cake sales, nail painting (finger, not masonry) etc – raising around £200 for the Nursery. Well done!
I’m sure there must have been other things going on as well; I’ll ask around.
