It’s exciting to watch progress on our new nursery as the contractors continue to work on site.

The heating and air conditioning units and suspended ceiling have been installed.  The canopy and perimeter fencing are now being put in place along with drainage and mains services connection.  The floor layers are inside laying the vinyl and the carpenters are due on site on Thursday to begin hanging doors, fix the skirting and complete the kitchen and kitchenette fit out.  The plumbers are due in next week to begin work in the wet areas.

We are working closely with the contractors to overcome the issues that arise on a daily basis so they are kept to a minimum.

The contractors have given us a new handover date of Tuesday 8th October.  We will then need a couple of weeks to transition into the new building.  The transition will be gradual so the children and staff, along with parents, can take time to adjust to the new environment and we will keep you informed of our plans as we near the end of the build.  Although the contractors have volunteered to help us move in any way they can, we may also need your help but will let you know nearer the time.

Our plan is to be operating from the new building from Wednesday 23rd October 2019 and we will keep you updated should the situation change.

We still have lots of challenges to overcome but the Manager and Staff Team are really excited about their new nursery and the opportunities it provides.
