In the United States we’ve seen children experiencing more and more harm, both physical and psychological, at the hands of gun-wielding murderers.
It has certainly caused personal and political anguish over there.
The situation over here is very different and a great deal safer.
Fortunately a ‘Dunblane’ is very rare, but lesser incidents can occur and at Sevenoaks Day Nursery we recognise the potentially serious risks to children, staff and visitors in emergency and harmful situations. So we have recently introduced a Lockdown Policy. The details of this new policy may be found on the Useful Information page of our website along with downloadable copies of all of our policies (I’m sure you are all very familiar with this page).
So, nothing to worry about, but just another example of how seriously we take the welfare of all the children in our care.
