This is a message from our new Trustee, Stephen Cole:-
Dear All,
At the last Trustees meeting, I mentioned that my family had recently suffered a house fire. As we were alerted early to the fire by our smoke alarms, fortunately, everyone escaped unharmed. Our smoke alarms were fitted following a Safe & Well visit from Kent Fire & Rescue. We have agreed to publicise this service with Kent Fire & Rescue and have recorded the attached video (which they released on Facebook, Twitter and their YouTube channel earlier today.)
The Safe & Well visits are freely available to families with children under the age of 5, or who are expecting an addition to the family. They are eager to encourage the uptake of these free visits. More details can be found on their website:
Editor’s Note: From the Safe & Well web page:-
“Our home safety officers or firefighters will visit your home at a time convenient for you, and together with you will tailor the visit to suit your needs and the type of property you live in. A typical free visit takes around 45 minutes and includes the fitting of free smoke alarms where necessary, as well as vital advice to help you stay safe and well.”
